Where it started

DBS was started in Michigan as a DBA and incorporated in Florida (1989)

The old days

ShopCAM has really evolved since it's birth in Livonia Michigan. 


  • The 1st CAM package available on the PC.
  • Shopcam started out named XL/NC on the UCSD OS.  
  • Ported over to the DOS OS  (1986) renamed Concept
  • Ported to Windows in (1990) renamed Shopcam
  • Available on all Windows versions
